PH knows that some people in her department work harder than others, still, it’s difficult not to cringe when she receives missives like the following:
I just wanted to let you all know about my plan for the Battle Rope announcement.*
I would like people to see the DVD, showing how to use the rope. DVD’s can not be shown on the TV’s on the walls. I have booked the mobile TV and DVD player for the first week of semester, to be placed in the gym and roll continually for the week. I will announce the rope at that time.**
If anyone wants to see the DVD from the team before then please ask.***
*Did anyone ask? No, I don’t think they did. Furthermore, ‘announcement’ seems a bit…overblown for a new piece of gym equipment that most people will probably delete.
**This is a real sentence.
***They are ropes. Really?
